Kick Start Your Fat-Loss - Mini Detox

Effective weight loss and cellulite reduction are a result of internal cleansing, toxin drainage and improved lymphatic flow.

The ever increasing levels of toxins and chemicals in our environment reveal that we are not only what we eat, but also what we drink, touch and breathe.

Toxins include food additives, pesticides, drugs/medication, heavy metals and soft plastics. Toxins not only come from our external environment but can be generated internally by bad bacteria, parasites and yeasts in the gut which are absorbed into the blood stream negatively affecting your health & vitality.

The body is quite capable of eliminating most of these toxins but becomes overwhelmed when you produce or absorb more of these toxins than it can get rid of. There are also specific nutrients required to help natural daily detoxification processes, so understandably our diet & nutritional intake plays a huge role in determining this.

When the gut is performing at its best, it can perform essential functions required for health and detoxification. Including;:

  • Assisting digestive processes such as motility
  • Breaking food down and production & absorption of nutrients
  • Producing short chain fatty acids required for fuel for the gastrointestinal tract
  • Protection from pathogens
  • Immune system regulation
  • Blood and internal cleansing
  • Greatly reduce cravings and addictions for refined carbohydrates, sugar, salt, alcohol, junk food and nicotine etc

There are 3 main stages to an effective detoxification programme:

Remove:   Removing bad bugs from your digestive system.

Renew:     Replacing the bad bugs with beneficial ones to improve organ functions.

Release:    Herbal & nutritional support to enhance the capacity of liver & kidney waste removal.

Toxins are stored in the liver and in body fat so it makes sense that by going on a good cleansing detox you will reduce body fat and greatly improve the appearance of cellulite.

I recommend all adults detox the body at least once a year (make sure that you get Dr approval if you have health issues or on medications). A good Naturopath can guide and support you through an effective detoxification programme.
